I have a passion for healthcare equity and believe that all folx deserve access to high-quality treatment, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race/ethnicity, religion/spirituality, ability level, age, and social class. I am a graduate of Adler University in Chicago and completed my clinical internship with the Hampton VA in Virginia, where I specialized in treating traumatic stress. I recently completed my postdoctoral residency with the San Diego VA, where I was able to specialize in providing affirmative care to Veterans in the LGBTQIA+ community. In addition to serving the Veteran population, I have experience providing evidence-based treatment to adolescents, adults, individuals, groups, couples, and families. I have worked in inpatient, outpatient, and intensive outpatient settings in rural, suburban, and urban communities.

I see my role as a clinician as a trusted ally, not a drill instructor. The idea of therapy can seem daunting, which is why I do my best to be as transparent and culturally humble as possible. I believe in the value of acknowledging the unique identities of all that I serve and take a person-first approach to my practice. I also believe that everyone is capable of overcoming traumatic experiences, and I take pride in helping facilitate that process.

In my free time I enjoy spoiling my three cats, hiking, watching true crime documentaries, and advocating for the LGBTQIA+ community. I was born and raised in Kentucky and spent five years in Chicago while I was getting my doctorate. I have called Southern California home since fall of 2020 and have loved serving the San Diego area.
