Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Hi! I’m Dr. AJ Pollard, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY 36314) in San Diego at Hillcrest Psychological Associates.
I work with young adults, adults, and couples with diverse identities, and focus on ADHD/neurodivergence, relationships/attachment, sexual health, LGBTQ+ issues, identity development, college/graduate school, cultural adjustment, and anxiety.
My goal is to build a collaborative relationship, creating a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you feel empowered. Our work together will focus on building insight into how past experiences impact you today, while also equipping you with practical skills and strategies. The aim is to foster deep self-acceptance and help you build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. I draw from a blend of evidence-based therapies to fit your unique needs, including Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Relational-Cultural Therapy, Mindful Self-Compassion, and Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy.
So, if you’re looking for a warm and genuine, LGBTQ+ identified therapist in San Diego to help manage ADHD, improve relationships, or increase personal growth and self-acceptance, you came to the right place!
In my free time I love to spend time with my family, friends, two cats and a dog, Padmé, Leia, and Silas.
I am in-network with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield of California, Cigna, EHN, and HealthNet.
