Grief and loss encompass a wide range of human experiences, including the death of a loved one or pet, divorce, loss of a job, trauma, or deterioration of health. Following a loss, it is natural to experience grief and mourning. Often, these emotions may feel very overwhelming and the person grieving can feel quite alone. Therapy can cultivate a safe space for emotional healing and self-compassion.
