Dr. Eric M. Hanna is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience in the treatment of anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, adjustment difficulties, and stress management. His specialty involves working with clients who may be struggling
with self-acceptance as well as the impact that may have in their relationships with others.
Dr. Hanna utilizes both Humanistic and Positive Psychology approaches in his work with clients, emphasizing strength-based themes. He is flexible in his approach, adjusting it to the specific needs of each client. Dr. Hanna provides an environment that is non-judgmental, utilizing a caring and collaborative approach. He wants his clients to feel heard, supported and empowered to work toward developing both short-term and long-term solutions to their concerns.
Dr. Hanna earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California at San Diego and obtained his master’s and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology-San Diego. He has serviced undergraduate and graduate students at the Counseling and Psychological Services Centers of both San Diego State University and Alliant International University. Dr Hanna was most recently the Department Head at Alliant, working with students from international and diverse populations. He also has experience working with members of the LGBTQ+ community and is an ally.
Dr. Hanna enjoys spending time outdoors and with his family, especially on the softball field while coaching his daughter.
